Heroes of Might and Magic webgame?

Is it possible?
Yes, sure it is
Now, many of you can say – Ubisoft is creating that game over here. Sure, they do. And I expect one darn good game from those guys. Especially with all those flash and nice graphics. Go, Go, Ubisoft, I already preregistered, and still waiting for game to come out.
But, what about rest of us here that want to create MMORPG?
I talked to one of my friend lately, and decided to go back a year or two, and to revive one project I always wanted to do – HOMM web engine. PHP and Javascript. Nothing nearly flashy as from Ubisoft, but still, greatly done.
Now, as I already did something like that once in my development history, it’s not like I’m starting from scratch. I will show you result of my first attempt. Might even sell it, if someone want’s to buy, since I’m abandoning even this code.
I’ll simply use my 3 greates inventions ever – AJAX tiled map, HOMM-like map maker, and my enhanced Quick Combat script, and add some simple PHP logic, rewite whole code to OOP, and launch new game.
Yeah, there are numerous problems with copyright, so I’m not gonna use HOMM graphics, nor titles, creature names, or similar, but engine and logic cannot be copyrighted, so – we might say: great game based on popular HOMM desktop serial.
Very nice ![]()
And I’ll use this website to promote my new project, keep you updated with progress, provide you with cute snippets for games, tutorials, and random gibberish from old developer
Keep tuned in
I promise – you’ll like where we’re going here

Hello,
I am the Founder & Chairman of True Games (www.truegames.com) and am very interested in learning more about developing extreme quality 3-D browser based games.
Our Company may consider doing a game or two in this direction and would likely want to build an internal team to do so.
If anyone on this forum is interested in speaking with me about this, please write direct at jlujan@truegames.com
